West Delhi is home of sizable Sikh community that originally migrated from Pakistan after partition. This session includes visiting such a lovely joint family where three generations stay together. The Sikh community was displaced from Pakistan after partition, but they quickly prospered once again due to the tradition of brotherhood. The stories you can know about are endless. You can know about their migration history, religious beliefs, tradition of brotherhood, and much more. Your hosts are a proud Sikh family that loves to cook, feed their guests, and laugh over conversations. Be welcomed in a traditional Sikh style which is different from Hindu welcome. Conversations here don't start without food. Taste home made Kesar Lassi. You can spend time in the kitchen with them women making some local dishes. Continue the conversations over homemade Punjabi food and end it with an Indian sweet like homemade Kheer or Firni. You may also learn some steps of Bhangra (Bhangra dance is performed during crop harvest, marriages or in festivals).

If time permits, we may also visit a Gurudwara with the family for evening prayers before calling it a day.
