When you travel to India, be it a village, it all starts with the classic golden triangle and its heritage. During our trail of the golden triangle, we share with you numerous stories about the folk lore. We also give you hands on experience at various activities like Yoga and handicrafts before giving you a taste of village life as well.
Day 1 - 3: Delhi (The Heritage, Food & spiritual expedition): Delhi is a combination of 7 different medieval cities. It is an amalgamation of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Jain heritage, food and crafts. Modern Delhi with high rise buildings is different from old Delhi which still exists in a maze of meandering narrow lanes. For first few days, participate in old Delhi heritage walk along with storytelling on medieval architecture and participate in local food tasting. The cuisine of Delhi not only be experienced in old Delhi, but also in its quaint cafes. Experience the Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Jain religious places, learn their history and participate hands on in some of the activities like community service. Experience Sufi culture and visit the local bazaars and medieval heritage sites in Delhi. -- Day 4 - 6: Jaipur Village life experience: Relax for the day and experience the authentic village life of Rajasthan. Practice yoga, cooking classes, learn how to keep a cow, and work in a village. The Heritage, Food & Crafts expedition: Jaipur is the capital city of princely state of Rajasthan, enamored with stories of glorious Rajput rule and their valor. Spend the first day exploring and understanding the Rajput history, crafts of Jaipur, medieval heritage and local food. Overnight stay will be in village. Own an elephant for a day: Spend a day owning an elephant where you will learn how elephants communicate; participate in preparing food for them, painting an elephant, bathing and feeding an elephant like a mahout. Overnight stay will be in village. Note: Elephants are subject to special care, and no acts of cruelty are performed on them. -- Day 7: Agra We spend full day in Agra not only exploring and doing storytelling on the Taj, but also some other lesser known aspects from the lanes of the city. Explore with us the local cuisine, handicrafts and street bazaars.
