From a comfortable tech job in the fast-paced corporate world to sustainability, my journeys across India and the world redefined my purpose. A stay in a village in Rajasthan and a road trip to the North East opened my eyes to something profound – connection. I shared stories over chai and dumplings and formed friendships that are still going strong.
That is when The Folk Tales was born.
I wanted to create travel experiences that are Real, Raw, and Rooted. The kind where you sit in a kitchen with a family learning a local delicacy, walk through mustard fields, learn traditional crafts, and visit communities that are making a positive impact on humanity.
Since 2013, my team and I have been working with communities across India, ensuring that the tours have a positive environmental, economic, and social impact.
