What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We value your privacy and take the utmost care in safeguarding the information you provide via the website or offline medium. We collect and retain only the information which is necessary to seamlessly execute your holiday in India.

  • When you contact us (online, over the phone, or offline) we may request you for basic information such as email address and telephone number (optional).
  • If you choose to book the holiday with us, we may ask for further information about yourself or the members of your group. This information may include a postal address, age, emergency contact numbers/ email IDs, credit/ debit card or other payment details, special needs for a disability, and special dietary requirements (if any).
  • If you have booked with us before, we may retain the information of your last booking. This information is used to remember your preferences, and provide you the best services when you make another booking. This information is securely saved on our cloud system and accessible only to the internal team.

Comments

  • When visitors leave comments on the blog posts we collect the data given in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help detect and avoid spam.
  • We do not distribute or sell your information outside of our organization.
  • An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service for identity verification. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture and comment become visible to the public.

Contact forms

  • Forms on our site may be your primary medium of contacting us. The forms we use ask for your basic information such as name, email, and details of the tour you are enquiring about. If you are directly booking a tour, the form may redirect you to the payments page for your credit/ debit card details.
  • Your basic information is saved in our system for future reference only when you return. We do not save your credit/ debit card details in our system.

  • If you leave a comment on a blog post on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in the cookies. This information is collected for your convenience so that you do not have to fill it again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
  • If you have an account on the site and you log in, we will set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not collect personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

  • We carefully perform due diligence and select our service providers. But we cannot be held legally liable for their privacy practices.
  • To make your tour in India seamless, we may (at times) be mandated to share your information with government authorities for visas, special zone permits, local verification authorities, immigration, security, and anti-terrorism purposes.
  • We may be obligated to disclose your information in response to a subpeona, court order, or any other request by the government of India for legal proceedings.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment on the blog, its body and metadata are retained indefinitely. This helps us recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them for moderation.

If you are a registered user on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username) by accessing the dashboard. Website administrators can also view and edit users’ information.
