Indian Responsible Tourism Awards (IRTA) is the regional wing of the World Responsible Tourism Awards (WRTA). We are thankful for being recognized among the champions of sustainability in the travel industry.
The Folk Tales won the Gold award for the ‘Best Cultural Immersion Operator’ category. Among the jury were Dr. Harold Goodwin (Director, International Centre for RT, Manchester Metropolitan University), Belinda Wright (Executive Director, Wildlife Protection Society of India), Suman Billa (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism).
The Indian Responsible Tourism Awards (IRTA) 2016 recognized and honored our efforts in the area of sustainability in tourism. This opportunity gave us the boost to know that we were going in the right direction especially when we received this appreciation only 3 years after the inception of the company. It was a learning experience to raise the bar and forge new relationships with like-minded people. We were among Top 5 finalists in the ‘Best Cultural Immersion Operator’ category.
