The Forttuna Global Excellence Awards recognize and honour leaders and business initiatives for their outstanding achievements across diverse industries. The award winners were a result of 2.17 million profile screenings, 87,946 interviews, and participants from 102 countries. The Folk Tales was honoured to be recognized and awarded as the Sustainable Tourism Company of the Year.

Indian Responsible Tourism Awards (IRTA) recognizes leaders in sustainable tourism across India. From homestays to tour operators and non-profit projects, IRTA presents the grassroots leaders on a global stage.
The Folk Tales won the Gold award for the Best Cultural Immersion Operator. Among the jury were Dr. Harold Goodwin (Director, International Centre for RT, Manchester Metropolitan University), Belinda Wright (Executive Director, Wildlife Protection Society of India), and Suman Billa (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism).

This opportunity gave us the boost to know that we were going in the right direction, especially when we received this appreciation only 3 years after the company’s inception.
