Arunachal Pradesh is the largest state in North East India that shares a long border with Tibet. It is a heavily forested state with the mighty Siang and Subansiri rivers.
The state has perhaps one of the largest numbers of tribes and sub-tribes. On this tour, you get to experience the lives of Apatani, Tagin, Nyishi, and Galo tribes. The tribes have traditionally been warrior or agrarian that practiced shifting cultivation till the 1960s.

We will meet you at Guwahati airport or the railway station. We then drive straight to the Nameri national park situated at the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Nameri national park is situated around the beautiful Kameng river and is home to the Asiatic Elephant along with the leopard, black bear, deer, and rich birdlife. Spend the day doing various activities as per your preferences including natural history walks, wildlife walks, fishing, and angling.

We drive further to Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, and spend the night in the city. Depending on the time we arrive, the rest of the evening will be available at leisure to explore on your own.

We drive through the dense forests along the river Ranga to reach Ziro, the land of the Apatani tribe. We arrive by evening with the rest of the evening at leisure.
Spend the next two days visiting the villages of the Apatani tribe and visiting a few families to know more about the hospitality, traditions, and customs of the locals. Visit the local fishing farms and the various walking trails in the Ziro valley.

We drive further drive to Daporijo, situated on the banks of the Subansiri river. Daporijo is the home of the Tagin tribe with a sparse population of the Adi Galo and the Hill Miri tribes. We visit the village of the Tagin and Adi Galo tribes.

We drive to Along (Aalo) and arrive by the evening. Over the next few days, we visit the villages of Adi Galo and Adi Minyong tribes by walking on the hilly terrain through forested routes. We also participate with them in their dances and songs and have a local meal with them. We also understand more about the animist practices that are followed by the tribes.

We drive further from Aalo to Pasighat situated along the Siang river. You have the option to either visit the museum or go rafting in the river. Overnight in Pasighat.

We are now coming towards the end of the trail and cross the Brahmaputra river to reach Dibrugarh. Overnight in the city.

We complete the tour and say goodbye to the land of the tribes. Drive to Dibrugarh airport or the railway station for onward journey.
