Amidst the cacophony of the narrow streets of old Delhi lie the stories of architectural marvels that were once the houses of merchants. Some are still occupied by the joint families comprising of many generations. You will also find many small and secluded sellers of cloth, jewels, local snacks, spices, traditional medicines, and more.
Stories say that the market was originally constructed in the shape of a crescent moon with a stream of water flowing through it that reflected the moonlight. A tour of old Delhi is incomplete without the storytelling which gives you a glimpse into the past and how the place has evolved over the last two centuries.
Over the years, especially after the Mughal empire was toppled by the British, new construction started to sprout. What we have today is a bustling and colorful maze of streets that one can get easily lost in (quite literally).
We have reviewed the sellers and have chosen only those that have good hygiene. We have done the tour with numerous guests and all have worked well. But we still leave the tasting to your discretion.
Yes, you can. Just tell the number of people you are and any other special requirements along with your enquiry, and we will set up a private tour for you.
Yes, we can do that. Simply send us the name and approximate location of your hotel when you send us the message with your enquiry. Depending upon the number of people, we will set up a private car for you. The charges for that are extra.

We had a lovely time with Saket, he showed us around the markets in Old Dehli where we could taste different local dishes and sweets. Also we had a small ride on tuk-tuk and finished in the community kitchen, which was a very heartwarming experience.
The booking process and meeting with Saket was also very smooth.
We had a great time on our tour through Delhi! Enjoyed getting some insight into the streets, tasting good food and thought it was a really special experience to end the tour by visiting the Gurdwara.
Gaurav is very friendly and accommodating, highly recommend as it was a fun way to explore this city 🙂
